HSDF partnered with the Dubai Future Foundation to provide software development training to one million people across the Arab world, known as the One Million Arab Coders Initiative.
The initiative stems from the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed in Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, who had the vision to empower Arab youth with the tools of the future to serve humanity and build a brighter future for the region. The challenge forms part of the UAE’s continuous efforts make a positive impact on the world.
HSDF and the Dubai Future Foundation have also recently signed the second phase of the Dubai Future Solutions project, which seeks to support and nurture talent to help transform the emirate into a global innovation hub, as approved by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, who explained that the aim of the programme is ‘to create a dynamic platform that attracts leading innovations, projects and experimental ideas from across the world, including contributions from bright students, top universities and international institutions, with the aim of benefitting humanity’. A pivotal cooperation agreement was signed between DFF and the Hussain Sajwani – DAMAC Foundation (HSDF), which pledged AED 100 million to support innovation and technology in Dubai and across the UAE. The ‘Dubai Future Solutions – Prototypes for Humanity’ initiative will be overseen by Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture).
